Double cross All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy is marking a one-day contract with his previous group the Philadelphia Eagles and will resign as an Eagle on Friday.
“Following 12 years in the NFL, I’ve chosen to resign an Eagle since this is home to me. I actually have that green inside my heart,” McCoy wrote in an article distributed in the group’s site.
“There are times when I’d see the Eagles on TV, and it just felt abnormal not wearing that uniform… I’ve quite recently consistently considered myself to be an Eagle. It’s simply right to return home and resign an Eagle.”
The 33-year-old McCoy procured Pro Bowl respects multiple times, and four of those with the Eagles. He additionally made first-group All-Pro in 2011 and 2013, likewise with the Eagles. He drove the NFL with 2,146 yards from scrimmage in the last of those.
